This is the writing journal for helens78. I try to post everything I write here, although it may show up at AO3 first (see helens78 -- yes, that's a DW-style userlink to my AO3 page! Cool, eh?).

Content warning policy:
Because AO3 offers a lot of really good options for tags, content notes, and warnings, please check AO3 if you want the maximum amount of information about a story. This includes looking for triggers and looking for specific kinks -- you can sort my works by tag if you're looking for all my bootplay stories, for instance!

Here on this journal, you'll be getting the spoiler-free experience. This is not to say I don't or won't warn for things -- I am very willing to warn for things! -- but I warn for them on AO3. I will always link a fic that has warnings to its AO3 version, so you should be able to find it easily.

If you have any questions about a specific trigger and you need to be sure a fic isn't going to trip it, please feel free to PM me at helens78 to ask. (Please don't ask me to make a judgment call on your behalf, though! I can easily answer the question "do the characters use the words 'bitch' or 'whore'?", but I can't tell you whether a story contains more verbal humiliation than you can tolerate, for instance.)



The contents of this journal are not safe for work. This includes not just the fic but the names of some of my tags (which are displayed in the sidebar). Please be careful!

It is only with great effort that I am not including the rest of my feelings about copyright and fair/transformative use here, complete with a story about Captain Copyright and his sidekick, Sgt. Creative Commons. :) Suffice it to say that I love the idea of transformative works, I love the practice, and I have always been delighted by anything people have done with my stories (short of, y'know, actual plagiarism). Transform away!

I don't anticipate posting anything under lock here, but I'll try to grant access to anyone who subscribes to me just in case. (It might take me a while to get around to it; nothing personal, I'm just not logged in as this account very often!)

On the topic of subscribing:
I subscribe and read through helens78's reading list, so I don't subscribe to anything on this journal. As I said above, I'm not logged in as this account very often!
